En una iniciativa pionera liderada por el profesor y director del Programa de Derecho, Inteligencia Artificial y Tecnología (DIAT) de la Escuela de Derecho de la PUCV, Johann Benfeld; el director de la Escuela, Eduardo Aldunate; y el ayudante e integrante del programa DIAT, Diego Ojeda, la unidad académica ha integrado el uso de inteligencia artificial en su curso de Filosofía del Derecho. La iniciativa «Prompts Socráticos», parte del proyecto de «Innovación en la Educación» impulsado por la Vicerrectoría Académica de la PUCV, se centra en aplicar técnicas de machine learning y prompting a problemas jurídicos complejos, con especial atención en el role play y la mejora continua de argumentos mediante la herramienta Chat GPT 3.5.
En la primera sesión, los estudiantes leyeron el caso de «Los Exploradores de Cavernas» de Lon L. Fuller, adoptando roles de los jueces para debatir sus decisiones desde diferentes perspectivas filosóficas. Esta actividad preparó el escenario para discutir el futuro de la profesión legal y la relevancia de los abogados, con una exposición del profesor Benfeld.
La segunda sesión fue dirigida por Diego Ojeda, quien expuso sobre machine learning y la ingeniería de prompts, y cómo el empleo más sofisticado de estas herraminetas pueden potenciar el análisis y la argumentación jurídica. Luego, los estudiantes participaron en una clase interactiva, utilizando Chat GPT 3.5 para perfeccionar sus habilidades de formulación de preguntas y refinamiento de argumentos en un contexto de role play. Por su parte, Jaime, un chatbox diseñado específicamente para el curso, ofreció clarificaciones, tips de role play, ejemplos y consejos prácticos para mejorar la interacción con la IA.
Esta integración de tecnología en el aprendizaje jurídico no sólo fomenta el pensamiento crítico y la adaptabilidad frente a los cambios tecnológicos, sino que también prepara a los futuros profesionales para enfrentar desafíos legales complejos con herramientas innovadoras. La participación destacada del profesor Johann Benfeld y las sesiones prácticas a cargo de Diego Ojeda, destacan la importancia de un enfoque interdisciplinario en la educación jurídica, preparando a los estudiantes para el futuro de la profesión legal.
El proyecto «Prompts Socráticos» no sólo ilustra el compromiso de la Universidad con la educación innovadora, sino que también subraya el potencial transformador de las tecnologías de inteligencia artificial en el campo del derecho, promoviendo una formación más profunda y adaptativa en futuros juristas.
